National Education Resources

National Council for Higher Education (NCHE) - NCHE is an independent organization for all higher education members of the National Education Association.  Committed to promoting academic justice and excellence, NCHE strives to advocate services and programs for the higher education faculty and staff within the National Education Association (NEA).

National Center for Education Statistics (NCES) - NCES is the primary federal entity which collects and analyzes data associated with education in the United States and other nations.  You can find information on its surveys and programs, discover education statistics from all program areas, and locate figures and statistics published in the NCES Education Quarterly.

American Association for Higher Education (AAHE) - AAHE's programs, conferences and publications focus on forming a higher education enterprise that helps all Americans achieve the deep, lifelong learning they need to grow as individuals, participate in the democratic process, and succeed in a global economy.

American Council on Education (ACE) - ACE is a national higher education association that provides a forum for the discussion of major issues related to higher education.

Association of American Colleges and Universities (AAC&U) - AAC&U, which creates links among presidents, academic administrators, faculty members and national leaders, is an association devoted to advancing and strengthening undergraduate liberal education.

Association of American Universities (AAU) - AAU assists its members in developing national policy positions on issues that relate to academic research and graduate/professional education.  It also provides them with a forum for discussing a broad range of other institutional issues, such as undergraduate education.

International Education Resources

International Archive for Educational Data (IAED) - As a project sponsored by the National Center for Education Statistics (NCES), the Archive acquires, processes, records, and distributes data collected by national, state, local, and private organizations, pertaining to levels of education in countries for where data can be made available. 

International Association of Universities (IAU) - IAU brings together institutions and organizations from some 150 countries for reflection and action on common concerns.  Collaborating with various international, regional and national bodies active in higher education, its services are available to individuals, institutions and organizations concerned with higher education.

Institute of International Education (IIE) - As the world's most experienced global higher education and professional exchange agency, IIE provides training and leadership development programs for public and private sector professionals around the world.  IIE is also an initiator of projects that help students and scholars worldwide.

International/Intercultural Development Education Connection - This bilingual (English and Spanish) website includes links to university home pages in the following countries: Africa/Arab States, Asia, Latin America/Caribbean, Oceana, United States and Canada, as well as international research centers.

International Education Service (IES) - This service assists foreign students world-wide in finding the right educational institution in the United States and Canada, as well as English programs.

European University Association (EUA) - EUA is the representative organization of both the European universities and the national rector's conferences.  Promoting the development of a coherent system of European higher education and research, EUA stands as the main voice of the higher education community in Europe.   

Inter-American Organization for Higher Education (IOHE) - IOHE is an international university association that promotes cooperation between member institutions and fosters the development of higher education in America.

Association of African Universities (AAU) - AAU is an international, non-governmental organization set up by the universities in Africa to promote cooperation among themselves and between them and the international Academic community.

European Association of Development and Training Institutes (EADI) This international organization is an independent, non-profitable and non-governmental organization which promotes development research and training activities in economic, social, cultural, technological, institutional and environmental areas.
